WINNERS ANNOUNCED!
MACtac WORLD WIDE AWARDS
The MACtac Worldwide Awards were created to reward excellence in the field of visual communication, help the industry grow and offer new ideas to end-users. The world is divided into 3 areas – Europe, America and International.
The International judging session of the 6th MACtac Worldwide Awards took place in Bangkok in April, with over 200 finalists selected from thousands of entries.
Leading sign industry magazine editors were joined on the jury by technical, advertising, and creative experts across the fields of application, printing and design.
Work from printers, applicators and end-users were submitted into four different categories: Vehicle Graphics, Interior Signs, Exterior Signs and Technical Achievement.
A special Creative Advertising Prize was also awarded to the entry considered most relevant and ground-breaking from an advertiser’s point of view.
Once again, a huge variety of interesting, innovative and individual projects made the judging extremely difficult. “We had a lot of very good entries. As judges, we rewarded jobs which were new, fresh (original applications) and relevant (adapted to the brand promoted or to the target group)” Witawat Jayapani, Advertising Expert and Co-Chairman of Creative Juice/Worldwide.
We would like to congratulate all the winners from Oceania. Their success puts our region on the world stage and is testimony to the creativity and innovation of the local visual communication industry.
The winners:
Omnigraphics New Zealand was awarded the Creative Advertising Prize for the whole International region. The clever use of the lift as a medium combined with an astonishing design made this promotion for Instant Kiwi lottery totally unexpected. High quality graphics with a tri-dimensional effect help grab the attention of the lift users.(Products: IMAGin JT 5929 P, Permacolor PF 6200)
CPL Services Pty Ltd Australia was awarded a Special Jury Mention in the International Exterior Sign Category. Their entry was an accumulation of photos depicting the multicultural diversity of modern day Australia, creating a strong impact and contributing to the city “animation”.
Off The Planet New Zealand was awarded a Special Jury Mention (Oceania) for the full wrap of 25 smart cars. The launch of the Smart Move concept was the first of its kind in New Zealand. A strong impact was created for Kiwibank Mobile Banking and a great technical performance has been achieved. (Product: IMAGin JT 5129 PM)
Australia and New Zealand were also the proud recipients of numerous Highly Commended entries.
